"I'm Not Alone" is the lead single from Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris' second album and his first appearance on a single since "Dance Wiv Me" with Dizzee Rascal and Chrome, which peaked at number 1 in the UK singles chart in 2008. "I'm Not Alone" was first-played by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 as his "essential new tune" on January 23, 2009 and has been described as a slice of euphoric dance. On April 12, 2009, the song debuted at #1 on the UK Singles Chart, giving Calvin his first solo #1 single in the UK and second overall.

The video for "I'm Not Alone" was filmed in Oslo, Norway on February 6 2009 and directed by Christian Holm-Glad. Later, it had to be re-edited to remove footage showing Harris holding an antique knife in order to be shown on television channels.[1] The beginning of the music video sees a small boy (possibly meant to represent a young Harris) in the woods with a teddy bear. However the boy suddenly drops the teddy bear and loses it. The rest of music video sees Harris in a dungeon-style setting performing Frankenstein-type experiments on numerous female captors, combining their parts to make a new teddy bear.
